MMTI provides their students with good infrastructure such as Air-Conditioned Classrooms, Separate Library, wi-fi facilities for studies etc.
Students are provided with soft copies of study materials, handouts etc.
We provide complimentary charts for practicing chartwork. There is a well-equipped library of IMO, ITU publication & course books for reference. There is a well-equipped book shop in MMTI. Candidates can buy books from here. The handouts are provided free of charge by MMTI.
Each classroom is fitted with a OHP/LED Projector and Computer with speakers so that videos and internet being a most effective way of learning are put to full use at MMTI.
We are also well equipped with state-of-the-art TRANSAS (WARTSILA) simulators including a full-mission simulator for advanced courses like Ship Manoeuvring Simulator, Bridge Team & Resource Management etc.
We also have access to swimming pool and fire fighting mock-up.
Candidates can conduct group study till 9PM in one of the allotted classroom.
The Institute has a well-equipped library with variety of nautical books and publications. The library books are issued to all the candidates and the faculty for reference. The selection of the books includes text books on various subjects, and publications from IMO, ISF, HMSO, ILO, WHO. Various periodicals Seaways, Bhandarkar Publications, Maritime Destination, Marex Bulletin etc., are available in the library.
A computer with internet connection is available for students to browse the internet for study material. Please note this must not be misused for entertainment and illegal viewing or downloads.
